Conoscenza e capacità di comprensione
Obiettivo del corso è promuovere l’acquisizione di una conoscenza approfondita delle materie giuridiche, unita a una elevata capacità di combinare la riflessione teorica con l’applicazione degli istituti a casi concreti.
A tal fine, è previsto lo studio delle discipline storiche, filosofiche ed economiche indispensabili per sviluppare una adeguata capacità di comprensione dei fenomeni sociali in rapporto ai quali va inquadrata e applicata la disciplina giuridica in un dato settore e ordinamento.Capacità di applicare conoscenza e comprensione
Il potenziamento della capacità di applicare le nozioni teoriche alla realtà concreta avviene, nell'ambito del corso di laurea, sia attraverso la studio degli istituti giuridici mediante la discussione di casi giurisprudenziali a lezione, prevista nell'ambito della maggior parte degli insegnamenti; sia mediante l'istituzione di uno specifico laboratorio di argomentazione giuridica e simulazione dei processi, che ha come obiettivo precipuo lo sviluppo delle capacità di interpretazione delle norme, di costruzione di argomenti giuridici e di elaborare di testi (memorie difensive, sentenze, ecc.) richieste dai principali sbocchi professionali del settore.Autonomia di giudizio
Il Corso di Studi consente allo studente di acquisire una conoscenza del fenomeno giuridico nel suo complesso, comprensivo cioè dello sviluppo storico degli istituti e degli ordinamenti giuridici, del diritto nazionale inserito nel più ampio contesto del diritto europeo ed internazionale, del diritto nel suo dispiegarsi nell’agire quotidiano.
La particolare attenzione ai diversi aspetti enunciati, favorisce la formazione nello studente di un sapere critico e gli consente una propria autonomia di giudizio.
L‘acquisizione da parte dello studente della capacità di sviluppare una riflessione critica è, peraltro, vivacemente sostenuta dai docenti dei singoli insegnamenti del corso, sia sul fenomeno giuridico nel suo insieme.
Abilità comunicative
Il Corso di Studi mira all'acquisizione da parte dello studente: (a) del linguaggio tecnico-giuridico indispensabile per una chiara, corretta, coerente esposizione di concetti giuridici; (b) della capacità di svolgere argomentazioni coerenti e convincenti su problemi di diritto positivo o su questioni ricostruttive, anche tenendo conto delle altre tesi proposte dalla scienza giuridica o dalla giurisprudenza su tali problemi e questioni; (c) della capacità di presentare gli elementi essenziali della propria argomentazione anche in lingua inglese.Capacità di apprendimento
Attraverso le varie attività formative previste, gli studenti sono chiamati ad acquisire gradualmente la capacità di programmare e organizzare il tempo di studio individuale, svolgere attività di ricerca bibliografica e di aggiornamento, partecipare attivamente e criticamente a incontri di tipo seminariale, produrre elaborati e lavori scritti.
Al termine degli studi, ci si attende che i laureati siano in grado di conoscere il fenomeno giuridico nel suo complesso, di saperlo ripercorrere e comprendere nel suo svolgimento storico, di saper inquadrare il diritto nazionale nella più ampia cornice europea ed internazionale.Requisiti di ammissione
L’iscrizione è aperta a tutti i possessori di un diploma di scuola superiore.
E' previsto un test di ingresso con funzioni orientative.
L'esito del test consente allo studente di conoscere il proprio livello di preparazione generale e al tutor dello studente di rilevare eventuali carenze, sulle quali impostare un’attività di recupero volta a permettere una partecipazione più proficua al corso di studio.Prova finale
La prova finale consiste nella preparazione di un elaborato scritto su un argomento concordato con un docente responsabile di uno degli insegnamenti presenti nel curriculum del candidato, e nella successiva discussione di fronte a una commissione di professori nominata dal Direttore del Dipartimento.
La bibliografia di base viene indicata dal relatore al momento dell'assegnazione ufficiale della tesi e deve essere integrata dal candidato.
Il lavoro si svolge sotto la guida del relatore, che verifica lo stato di avanzamento della stesura del testo e comunica al candidato il parere positivo finale.
Al termine della prova finale, la commissione formula la valutazione conclusiva, espressa in 110 ed eventuale lode, collegando l'intera carriera del laureando alla prova finale.
In sede di prova finale la commissione può assegnare sino a un massimo di 7 punti per la tesi di laurea.
Se la prova finale viene sostenuta entro il termine legale del corso di studi, vengono assegnati 2 punti in più.Orientamento in ingresso
L'orientamento in ingresso viene realizzato attraverso lo svolgimento di attività di promozione negli istituti secondari superiori del territorio, lo svolgimento di lezioni, presso il complesso San Carlo dell'Università della Tuscia o gli stessi istituti secondari superiori, di lezioni di prova, l'organizzazione di open days e di visite guidate presso i locali del complesso San Carlo.Il Corso di Studio in breve
Il Corso di laurea magistrale a ciclo unico in Giurisprudenza ha lo scopo di formare laureati dotati di una solida preparazione giuridica di base.
Il percorso formativo è caratterizzato da un approccio interdisciplinare, da un'attenzione all'evoluzione storica degli istituti giuridici e degli ordinamenti, da uno studio del diritto nazionale nel più ampio contesto giuridico europeo e globale ed infine dall'acquisizione di un sapere non solo teorico ma pratico, consistente nell'analisi e soluzione di casi concreti

Knowledge and Understanding: analysis of the functioning of the main institutions. Communication Skills: ability to communicate clearly and effectively using appropriate technical language. The first part of the course aims to illustrate and analyze the EU’s border management policy. The main goal is to provide students with an overview, at the European level, of the most important legal instruments and the relevant international case-law on the definition and the evolution of the legal status of migrants.
In particular, Module I will focus on the following topics: - The rights of third-country nationals in the “European legal space”. The relationship between the European legal order and the European Convention on Human Rights. Overview, the Bosphorus doctrine (app. 45036/98) and the Opinion 2/13 (ECLI:EU:C:2014:2454) - The role of the non-refoulement principle in the protection of migrants. The aim of the course is to provide knowledge of Roman private law from its origin to Justinian, to provide an adequate technical-juridical language and to teach the technique of exegesis of Roman sources. In particular, the course intends to make the student acquire the following skills:
Knowledge and understanding: acquisition of knowledge and understanding of Roman private law and its development up to Justinian through the study of the main private legal institutes.
Applied knowledge and understanding: acquisition of the ability to read and understand the legal text through the exegesis of fragments taken from works of classical jurisprudence.
Autonomy of judgment: acquisition, also through exegetical analysis, of the ability to read, interpret and resolve legal issues, supporting the emergence of the autonomous critical skills of the learner.

(objectives)
A. OBJECTIVE The goal of the course is to provide students with knowledge and understanding of the theoretical and practical tools that explain how the economic system works, both at a macro- and micro-level, by focusing on the behavior of the main economic actors, i.e. households, firms, Government and rest of the world.
B. EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES 1. KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING Acquire knowledge and tools, both theoretical and practical, that allow students to understand economic theories as well as the goals, tools and limits of policy makers. Such knowledge will be acquired through frontal lectures supported by advanced text books reading, exercises and participation to thematic seminars.
2. APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING Students will be able to apply the acquired knowledge and methodology to practical examples in a way to assess the main concerns and opportunities of the modern economic systems. Such skills will be developed mainly through exercises and an active debate in the classroom.
3. MAKING JUDGEMENTS Ability to identify and explain the rationale behind the main economic relationships. Students will be able to collect and interpret relevant data on the main economic indicators in order to formulate responses and provide reflections on general issues of macro- and microeconomics. This will be obtained through lessons encouraging a reasoned discussion among students.
4. COMMUNICATIONS Students will acquire the ability to present the issues of the course with adequate language and appropriate analytical skills (formulae, graphics, and explanation of causal links). Such ability will be implemented through exercises. Students will be able to communicate with peers and supervisors about their understanding on basic topics of economics.
5. LEARNING SKILLS Students must be able to reconstruct autonomously the main notions of economics so that to undertake possible further studies with a high degree of autonomy.

Knowledge of the sources of law and the development of the forms of state and government, of the structure and functions of the constitutional bodies and of the public administration: central and peripheral, regional and local, of the judiciary, of the territorial autonomies (Regions, Provinces and Municipalities ), of the foundamental rights and their means of protection; relations with the European system.
Capacity Ability to search for pertinent normative, bibliographic and jurisprudential material and their use for the purpose of setting legal problems. Ability to address the main issues that emerge at the public-constitutional level, starting from a correct identification of the relevant legislation. Ability to keep in mind and adequately select the main interpretations of this legislation in doctrine and jurisprudence, also with reference to the increase in the complexity of sources as a result of European legislation.
Competence Sensitivity to the role that the constitutional perspective plays not only as a fundamental disciplinary dimension, but also as a necessary tool for interpreting the law, especially with reference to fundamental freedoms and the guarantee of people's rights . Sensitivity to the constitutional values of the 1948 Charter and their enduring founding character of our Republic; awareness of the impact of the updates that have already entered into force and sensitivity to the complexity of the articulation between the powers of the State between them and with the further level of the bodies of the European Union. Awareness of the importance of the constitutional control and, more generally, of the role of the judiciary in a civil law system.

(objectives)
The topic of the European Union has long been the focus of public opinion and political discussions; indeed, it is one of the issues that most arouse passions and shape collective feelings. Participation in the process of integration and monetary union in many countries has become the main discriminator between the camps; the European Union is a constant and imposing presence in the visual field of citizens; it is a compelling constraint on government action. The course in the History of European Integration aims to raise among students an awareness of the historical roots and unfolding of a constitutive aspect of present reality. The teaching given will enable the student to acquire a good knowledge of the basic outlines of the history of European integration, from the years after World War II to the most recent developments: from the establishment of the first European Communities to the birth of the European Union, the completion of economic and monetary union, the institutional problems that have found accommodation in the Lisbon Treaty, and the difficulties and convulsions aroused by the great economic crisis of our time. The economic, political and institutional aspects of integration will be examined in the framework of the broader transnational links that characterize the contemporary world (interdependence, globalization) and in the interweaving with the historical processes of the second half of the 20th century and the beginning of the 21st (Cold War, evolution of the relationship between the United States and Europe within the Western alliance, overcoming the division of Europe, growth and crisis of the world economy). At the end of the course, the student will be in possession of notions that should enable him or her to navigate knowledgeably in the public debate of our times, to acquire an autonomous capacity for judgment with respect to the issues under discussion, and to argue his or her own convictions, eschewing simplifications and platitudes.

European Union Law
(objectives)
The course aims to provide an overall understanding of European Union law. It starts with an introduction, which focuses on the integration process through the modification of the treaties and the enlargement. It highlights the peculiarities of the European Union as a legal order and a “community of law”, with respect to the phenomenon of international organization. The analysis also covers the free movement of people and the European citizenship. Then, the European institutional framework is examined, taking into account the relation between the Institutions and the principles guiding their interaction. The toolkit adopted by the Union to overcome the democratic deficit is illustrated, including the decision-making procedures for the adoption of EU acts. Then, the course focuses on the principles which regulate the attribution and the exercise of EU competences and the forms of differentiated application. The hierarchy, features and functioning of EU sources is then introduced and explained in its relations with domestic law. The notions of primacy, autonomy and direct effect of EU law are widely investigated, alongside the modalities for the implementation of EU law in national legal orders, in particular in Italy. Finally, an in-depth examination of the functions of the EU Court of Justice is carried out, with peculiar emphasis on the preliminary ruling as an instrument of dialogue between the courts.

Knowledge of the main institutions of public economic law, such as freedom of enterprise and competition, the constitutional framework, privatization and nationalization, different types of property. All with a diachronic approach and awareness of the main evolutionary lines.
Applying knowledge and understanding
Ability to research relevant normative, bibliographical and jurisprudential material and use them for the purpose of setting legal problems. Ability to address the main issues arising in the economic system of a state, beginning with a proper identification of the relevant legislation. Ability to keep in mind and properly select the main interpretations that are given of such legislation in doctrine and jurisprudence, also with reference to the increase in the complexity of sources as a result of European legislation.
Making judgements
Attention to the reading of positive law and to the interaction between law, politics and economics with an awareness of the regularities of their intertwining, knowing how to discern independently their different modes of attitude.
Communication skills.

History of the European Integration
(objectives)
The topic of the European Union has long been the focus of public opinion and political discussions; indeed, it is one of the issues that most arouse passions and shape collective feelings. Participation in the process of integration and monetary union in many countries has become the main discriminator between the camps; the European Union is a constant and imposing presence in the visual field of citizens; it is a compelling constraint on government action. The course in the History of European Integration aims to raise among students an awareness of the historical roots and unfolding of a constitutive aspect of present reality. The teaching given will enable the student to acquire a good knowledge of the basic outlines of the history of European integration, from the years after World War II to the most recent developments: from the establishment of the first European Communities to the birth of the European Union, the completion of economic and monetary union, the institutional problems that have found accommodation in the Lisbon Treaty, and the difficulties and convulsions aroused by the great economic crisis of our time. The economic, political and institutional aspects of integration will be examined in the framework of the broader transnational links that characterize the contemporary world (interdependence, globalization) and in the interweaving with the historical processes of the second half of the 20th century and the beginning of the 21st (Cold War, evolution of the relationship between the United States and Europe within the Western alliance, overcoming the division of Europe, growth and crisis of the world economy). At the end of the course, the student will be in possession of notions that should enable him or her to navigate knowledgeably in the public debate of our times, to acquire an autonomous capacity for judgment with respect to the issues under discussion, and to argue his or her own convictions, eschewing simplifications and platitudes.

D1 - Knowledge and understanding: By the end of the course, students will have mastered the basics of legal informatics, developed an understanding of the main issues related to the protection of rights in the digital sphere, and will be able to manage online resources for researching legal material;

LEARNING OBJECTIVES This course is designed to equip students with the fundamental concepts and terminology necessary to comprehend business administration phenomena. It aims to enable students to comprehend the characteristics, modes of operation, and roles of companies as they engage with the external environment and different methods of internal organization. In the application section, students will gain basic knowledge about how to identify the economic and financial effects of business choices. Upon completion of the course, students will be able to grasp the basic themes of business economics, which will enable them to read documents or participate in debates on company content.
KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING By the end of this course, the student will have gained fundamental knowledge of interpretive models that can be used to assess a company's internal operations as well as its relationships with the external environment. These models will provide valuable insights into the dynamics of the company, allowing individuals to make informed decisions and take appropriate actions to improve its overall performance.
APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING The student will be able to recognize the various types of companies, understand and critically evaluate the roles of the people who operate there, and identify the parts that make up the structure. In addition, the student will be able to quantify the effect that the main management operations have on capital, the FY performance, and internal balances.
MAKING JUDGEMENTS At the end of the course, the student will be able to understand the company and its operation as well as the opportunity to undertake certain management operations about the effects that these may have on the qualitative and quantitative composition of the capital and the FY performance and, more generally, on internal balances.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS At the end of the course, the student will have acquired an aptitude for the analysis of business administration problems, relational skills, and written and oral expression, with appropriate language to discuss the topics dealt with the different interlocutors.
