(syllabus)
The first part of the program will be aimed at studying the main theories and fundamental concepts of the discipline: How political sociology was born and what it studies. The state, power and authority. Socialization, participation and political recruitment. Political communication and public opinion. Ideology. How societies change (social change).
In the SECOND PART of the course the relationship between politics and generational change will be investigated, through the analysis of recent empirical research conducted by Flaminia Saccà on young administrators in Lazio.
