The course deals with the main aspects concerning the management of hydrographic basins. In particular, the fundamental hydrological, hydraulic and erosive processes occurring at basin scale are analyzed.
Upon completion of this course, learners should achieve the following objectives: 1) knowledge and ability to understand a field of study at a level that is characterized by the use of advanced textbooks and also includes knowledge of some cutting-edge topics in the field of mountain river basin management and bioengineering; 2) ability to apply their knowledge and understanding in a manner that demonstrates a professional approach to their work, as well as adequate skills to both devise and support arguments to solve problems in the field of mountain river basin management and bioengineering; 3) ability to collect and interpret hydrologic data; 4) ability to communicate information, ideas, problems, and solutions, on the issues addressed, to specialist and non-specialist interlocutors; 5) learning skills necessary to undertake further studies (Master Degree) with a high degree of autonomy.
