Module: Sports games - module 2
(objectives)
Knowledge and understanding The course aims to provide students with the theoretical and practical knowledge to understand the sports games, in order to deepen both the general culture of sport and acquire technical, relational didactic skills, useful in different professional fields (school, sports clubs, federations, and media).
Applying knowledge and understanding At the end of the course, students will be able to acquire specific skills for the design, management and evaluation of sports programs. To this end, together with the theoretical part, the course also includes the performance of an exercise teaching activity that will put the student in a position to experience specific didactic progressions.
Autonomy of judgment At the end of the course, the student will be able to understand and critically evaluate the theoretical and practical-applicative notions, in relation to the various proposed activities (physical education lessons, sports training), to the different sports games and to the specific needs of the different populations to which the activities are aimed.
Communication skills At the end of the course, the student will be enabled to know and use a correct writing technique and terminology for the preparation and conduct of physical education lessons and specific training units for sports games. Furthermore, the student will acquire the specific knowledge to use new technologies useful to improve the relationship and communication with the users of these activities.
Learning skills The structure of the course is aimed at creating a harmonization between the acquisition of theoretical knowledge and practical-operational skills, also through the construction of a specific internship network to be carried out in affiliated sports clubs.
