DIRITTO E PROCEDURA PENALE
(objectives)
Purpose of the course is to learn the fundamental issues of the criminal and procedural law, through the analisys of the constitutional and international principles in this matter, using cases and real judicial acts. It will be studied in deep particularly the main issues of the general part of the penal law and, on the procedural side, particular attention will be paid to the preliminary investigation stage and to the evidence acquisition process, in the scope of learning the basic notions to challenge the subsequent tecnical-operative education in the university course. Expected learning results - 1) knoledge and understanding: at the end of the course the student will be able to read and resume scientific texts in criminal law and procedure matter; describe the main concepts and the typical research methods of the criminal law and procedure; identify tthe main issues of the rule of law and fair trial. 2) applying knowledge and understanding: at te end of the course the student will be able to use code and understand the theoretical-operative aspects of the issues in charge. 3) Making judgments: at the end of the course the student will be able to identify the juridical consequences of a criminal act; identify and make the proper investigations acts and lodge the proper procedural requests connected to the role of the parties. 4) Communication skills: at the end of the course the student will be able to use the criminal law and procedure lexicon in both oral and written exposition; discuss in public concepts, thearies and juridical facts; work in a team, simulating trial and experimentig other practical experiences. 5) Learning skills: at the end of the course the student will be able to find and study in deep and autonomously criminal facts not previously studied, using the method developed studying the general part of the criminal code; use the notions acquired to discover, understand and apply any legal update; retrieve and deep its personal juridical skills during its scientific development and during its professional path.
