Francesco Petrarch's 'Canzoniere'. We will examine the history, architecture, themes and style of Francesco Petrarch's 'Canzoniere' (Rerum vulgarium fragmenta), the work that, by breaking through the boundaries of the medieval poetic tradition in an exceptionally innovative manner, made a decisive contribution to the birth of modern Italian and European lyric poetry, becoming a founding and lasting normative model.
