English Language (12 CFU) is organized as follows:
II semester - Prof. Alessandra Olga Serra (2 CFU) - Grammar;
II semester - Prof. Michela Marroni (10 CFU - course coordinator) - Legal English;
The English language exam (12 CFU) consists of a first oral/grammar part (adopted textbook) and a second oral/legal English part (ONLY the main readings at the beginning of the units of the book - those highlighted in the blue box).
Specifically, the oral exam consists of reading (pronunciation check) and translation of the blue box readings of each unit with particular attention to the words in bold (to be checked in the Glossary at the end of the book).
The book used for the legal English part and which will be the subject of the exam is:
A. Krois-Lindner, Matt Firth and TransLegal, "Introduction to International Legal English. Student's Book with Audio with Audio CDs (2)", Cambridge University Press, Cambridge, 2009, ISBN: 978-0-521-721-71899-8;
The book used for the grammar part is:
Raymond Murphy with Lelio Pallini "Essential grammar in use (Italian edition). Fourth edition with solutions" Cambridge.
The entire grammar book is subject to examination. Below are the most important parts:
