initiate the theoretical, critical, historical and methodological problems related to restoration, considered starting from the examination of particular cases. To stimulate the learning ability and to form the aptitude for judgment, several lessons (half of the course) will be dedicated to the examination of works of art that have experienced exemplary events for the history of restoration. to stimulate the awareness of the historical stratification present in the work and the assumption of a conscious gaze of the of the palimpsest that each work contains. Consider the history of taste and the relativity of the notion of restoration over time
