(syllabus)
The first part of the course will be dedicated to the foundations of International Relations, to Security Studies with particular focus to contemporary challenges and the future of International Relations. The second part of the course will be dedicated to deepening the Security organizations in their institutional structure, in the functions performed and in the impact on the politics of the Member States. In addition, the United Nations will be analyzed in depth, with its related peace operations, the European Union in its emerging role in the field of collective Security and NATO.
