Antigone and the places of Antigone. After a first module in which the problematic birth of Greek theater will be analyzed along with its development (also in Latin production), Sophocles' Antigone will be read in Italian. Of the tragedy, the principlal elements (messincesque and poetic) will be highlighted with attention to the actual and character places of the characters. Sophocles' Antigone will also be analyzed in the light of J. Anhouilh's rewriting of Antigone (1941) and Bertolt Brecht's adaptation (1948), as well as its influence in contemporary cinema and theater.
