The course aims to provide the student with basic knowledge on plant biology with reference to the different types of cells and plant tissues and how they are organised to form plant organs. Furthermore, the student will be able to acquire the skills related to the principles to the plant physiology (photosynthesis, water balance, hormonal regulation in plant development)
The course is dedicated to plant diversity and aims to introduce the most common methods of studying the variability and the ways of taxa identification. Furthermore, the course aims to provide insights and examples relating to the plant components of Italian and European reality
