The course aims to provide students with:
 the knowledge of the historical evolution of body education and sport in the western culture;
 the knowledge of the general pedagogy, also declined as sports pedagogy, and of its function as a critical-reflective science within the sciences of education and sport;
 the knowledge of the pedagogy of the body and its themes.
