MATEMATICA GENERALE
(objectives)
GENERAL OBJECTIVE. The teaching aims to equip students with mathematical methods commonly used in business applications. SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES. To learn the fundamental concepts of mathematical analysis; to be able to formulate and solve problems typical of mathematics applied to business administration. EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES. The student is expected to: assimilate the fundamental concepts of mathematical analysis; be able to correctly set up and solve problems typical of applied mathematics; be able to communicate on mathematical problems effectively, using appropriate language. KNOWLEDGE AND COMPREHENSION SKILLS. The teaching plans to provide the student with the notions and analytical tools essential for understanding and describing mathematical problems in business administration. APPLIED KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING SKILLS. The student should be able to understand the main tools of applied mathematics. In particular, he/she must be able to construct models to formulate and solve typical business problems. AUTONOMY OF JUDGMENT. The student must be able to independently evaluate the necessary information and set up mathematical analyses of business phenomena. COMMUNICATION SKILLS. The student must be able to communicate on mathematical problems effectively, using appropriate language. LEARNING SKILLS. The student must be enabled to approach subsequent teachings with significant analytical ability and a well-grounded method of quantitative investigation.
