(objectives)
1) Knowledge and ability to understand: knowledge of historical data, methodologies and proposed documents; acquisition of a basic scientific vocabulary. 2) Applied knowledge and understanding: to be able to read and discuss a historical source by placing it within its context; to be able to use the fundamental bibliographical tools for the study of Roman history. 3) Autonomy of judgement: being able to identify causal links and interpret a historical phenomenon critically; awareness of the complexity and 'relativity' of historical phenomena. 4) Communication skills: knowing how to present one's knowledge in a correct, orderly and consequential manner. 5) Learning skills: knowing how to use the knowledge and skills acquired and the specific language learnt with a view to continuing one's own learning path or carrying out non-specialist professional activities.
