Part I – Introduction to Artificial Intelligence and law What is Artificial Intelligence? Technical notions and legal implications Artificial Intelligence and digital technologies: law vs. technology? The human rights framework and the threats of AI and automated decision-making
Part II – Artificial Intelligence and human rights: focus Artificial Intelligence and data The debate on automated decision-making in the GDPR Freedom of expression and AI. The challenges of content moderation Intellectual property rights and AI
Part III – New challenges and regulatory developments Regulation of AI: the European Union AI Act The debate on legal personality for AI systems AI, automated decision-making, and predictive justice
