History and Geopolitics in International Security
(objectives)
The course aims to provide articulated knowledge on the history and geopolitics of international security.
The educational objectives concern the analysis of the transformations of the international system, from the formation of the nation states to the Great War, from the birth of the League of Nations to the Second World War, from the Cold War to the collapse of the Berlin Wall and the dissolution of the Soviet Union, from 11 September 2001 to the present time.
Particular importance is given to the ability to move in the main geopolitical spaces of the global world, to interpret the dynamics of political, economic and cultural power at a national and supranational level, to deconstruct the media narratives of large transnational information systems
