2CFU: Spatial planning and its purposes. The main planning instruments. IGM cartographic products. The river basin: how it is derived, main parameters, analysis in a GIS environment. Catchment vulnerability factors: how they are identified and analysed. The USLE equation and its applications at the catchment scale. The eutrophication process and vulnerability of water bodies. WMS services and the main national geoportals.
2CFU: Agronomic techniques for erosion risk mitigation; Best Management Practices and their application at farm scale.
2CFU: Laboratory exercises using GIS applications; Seminars held by lecturers and/or professionals on the main topics covered during the course.
