Optical and electron microscopy. Spectroscopy in the visible and ultraviolet. UV, VIS, IR photographic investigation techniques. Radiographic techniques. X-ray diffraction. X-ray fluorescence. Dating methods: radiocarbon dating, isotopic analysis of marble provenance, thermoluminescence.
