(syllabus)
The course is divided into two modules of 24 hours each. The first module "History of the miniature from the late antique book to the advent of printing (4th-15th centuries)" aims to provide a basic knowledge of the history of medieval art and the miniature. The in-depth module "Botticelli, Dante, the Comedy" offers a general reflection on the iconographic tradition of the Divine Comedy, through an exemplary case.
