The course addresses the main issues inherent in the management of digital transformation and the consequent management of data produced by technologies within an organization. The course is structured in four parts. In the first part, some basic interpretative elements are introduced concerning organisational theory, organizational environment, corporate stakeholders and organizational design to understand the impacts of digital transformation. In the second part of the course the technologies enabling digital transformation - information systems and Industry 4.0 - are introduced in organizations and the main theories to study the determinants of the adoption of digital technologies. The third part deals with the issue of organizational change triggered by the adoption of digital technologies. It will reflect how to manage and evaluate organizational change. Various case studies will be proposed. The fourth part shows how to use the Microsoft Access database management system for creating and managing a database. We will introduce how to create databases, how to insert a primary key and the various types of files. It will also show you how to create relationships between tables, create queries, and create forms to view data.
