(syllabus)
The course deals with the main aspects of the organizational studies and it is structured in three parts: • The 1st part introduces some basic elements of organizations: Strategy and value; Organization, complex systems and organizational environment; Organizational differentiation and balance problems; Principles of organizational design; Control and formalization; Specialization and different structures; Organizational culture; Change management; Communication; Organization and individual behaviour • The 2nd part is devoted to human resources, and strategies and practices to manage them: the role of the Human Resource Management unit, job analysis and design, staff training and development, diversity management, globalization and HR; • The 3rd part tackles under an organizational perspective the theme of labour relations: laws; labour market features; role of unione throughout history; formal conflict management with the HR; collective and individual bargaining; labour relations; negotiating processes and the role of the rules
