(objectives)
ENGLISH LANGUAGE: The aim of the course is to provide students with the necessary skills to analyze specialized English-language texts concerning political science. --- The course aims to develop knowledge of the aspects characterizing French culture and civilization. The proposed readings aim to stimulate students' interest and knowledge in relation to aspects of French life, history and culture from an intercultural perspective and with particular attention to issues of a political and international nature, human rights and issues of actuality. The proposed readings and the material provided are designed and graded according to the expected level of linguistic-communicative competence (A1-A2 of the CEFR).

Methodology:
A tripartite method will be followed, aimed at achieving the following objectives:
a. Lexical learning based on some topics related to Hispanic-American culture; b. The development of communicative skills and the acquisition of discursive competence; c. Knowledge of the grammar underlying the topics covered and the skills developed.
The textbook used is ¡Enhorabuena! (see Bibliography), which students must obtain for classroom and homework exercises and for individual study in view of the final exam. Additional teaching material (texts, films, music) will be provided during the course.
Attendance and active participation are recommended and desirable. Learning the language requires an active role, participation in conversation and in all the activities proposed by the teacher and which will take place in the classroom.
The lessons will be held entirely in Spanish.
