PRAGMATICA E ARGOMENTAZIONE
(objectives)
The course presents the “narrative discourse”, from the point of view of contemporary pragmatics.
The course has four objectives: a) to know the theoretical debate on the modalities of discourse, through the theories of some modern authors, such as John L. Austin, Herbert P. Grice, but also in diachrony; b) know the syntactic, semantic and argumentative properties that characterize "narrative language" and distinguish it from other discursive purposes; c) acquire the competence to recognize the narrative structure in texts, distinguishing it from the informative-explanatory structure; d) acquire the skills to manage the linguistic mechanisms typical of the different discursive genres.
