LEARNING OUTCOMES: The course aims to provide advanced knowledge on planning, management control, and reporting in public sector entities.
KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: At the end of the course, students must demonstrate knowledge about the evolution of theories on public sector decision-making processes as a prerequisite for the interpretation of the reforms in progress aimed at their modernization. Students must also demonstrate knowledge of the operational tools concerning the formulation of strategic and budgeting documents, performance measurement, internal and external controls in the public sector.
APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: Students must be able to read and interpret public sector programming and reporting documents, assess their adequacy and consistency to improve the equilibria of the institutions, and address them in the search for public value.
MAKING JUDGEMENTS: At the end of the course, students will be able to formulate critical and operational considerations on the documents of planning, measurement, and reporting in public entities.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS: The knowledge of the general and operational part of the course will allow the students to acquire the technical language enabling them to effectively address the discussion regarding the topics covered.
LEARNING SKILLS: At the end of the course, students will be able to undertake, also independently, subsequent insights on the topics addressed.
