Evolution of concepts, theories, and principles relevant to sustainability and social responsibility of organizations. Policies and goals stemming from research and analyses conducted by UN Agencies and the European Union. Position documents and guidelines issued by international organizations such as OECD. Italy and the report on equitable and sustainable well-being. Governance of organizations and stakeholders. Accountability and reporting systems for sustainability and social responsibility: international standards and guidelines. Italian rules and regulations for listed companies and not-for-profit organizations. Organizational implications of sustainability and social responibility. Consequences stemming from different degrees of articulation of organizational structures and of decision-making power: from multinational companies to SMEs and non-profit organizations. Issues in technology and organizing. ICTs role as possible enablers of intra and inter organizational relationships. Change management, organizational learning and stakeholder involvment. Human resources management and sustainability.
