(syllabus)
The course focuses on: general and introductory notions to the study of private law (sources of law, interpretation of the law, legal norm, subjective juridical situations, etc.); the discipline of natural and legal persons and unrecognized entities (contained in book 1 of the civil code), in addition to the regulation of the main personality rights; the discipline of goods (goods, property, real rights of enjoyment, possession, contained in book 3 of the civil code). the discipline of obligations in general (contained in book 4 ° of the civil code). the discipline of contracts in general (contained in book 4 ° of the civil code). the discipline of consumer contracts (general provisions and unfair terms), as well as the following typical contracts: sale, lease, rent, contract, mandate, loan, loan, guarantee. the discipline of unilateral promises, the management of other people's affairs, the payment of undue payments, enrichment without cause (contained in book 4 of the civil code). the regulation of the illicit act (contained in book 4 of the civil code), also as regards defamation in the press. the discipline of patrimonial responsibility, the causes of pre-emption (privileges, pledge and mortgage) and the patrimonial guarantee (contained in the 6th book of the civil code).

For the preparation of the exam of Institutions of private law, the student can use any university level institutional manual (for example; Torrente-Schlesinger, Manual of private law, Milan; Lucchini Guastalla, Institutions of private law (for economics students ), Milan; Cicero, private law institutions, Milan), in its latest edition, limited to the chapters corresponding to the topics listed above. Furthermore, AA.VV., Ten introductory lessons to a private law course, UTET, Turin, 2006, limited to the following lessons: the legal norm, the interpretation of the law, the fact, the subjective juridical situations and the goods. For the preparation of the exam it is also essential to use the civil code in an updated edition.
