(syllabus)
Topic of the course is the concept of Exophonie, connected with those of Heimat/ heimlich as well as migration and exhile, with some history hints from 1918 onward. A discussion about social and aesthetic categories connected to the theme will be considered (stygma, otherness, melting and so on). In a second part of the course (30 hours) German contemporary writers (Essays and fiction) will be analyzed, with a special focus on the isotopy of the Artist’s novel and the Intellectual novel (Kuenstlerroman e Gelehrtenroman).
