(syllabus)
The course aims to provide a knowledge of the main features of Classical Archeology and the History of Greek and Roman Art, with an outline of the history and evolution of the discipline, from antiquarian studies to the birth of Art History and therefore of modern Stratigraphic Excavation. The main artistic productions - architecture, sculpture, painting - will be examined with particular reference to the stylistic phases, production areas and chronological aspects. Some thematic insights will be carried out on issues related to the restoration of ancient artifacts.
