The aim of the course provides some basic elements of Earth Sciences for the interpretation and use of geo-thematic territorial data made available by the application of the INSPIRE protocol (standard OGC services of National and Regional Geoportals) with particular reference to the reading and interpretation of geological maps and the problems related to hydrogeological instability. The student should be able to understand the dynamic character of the Earth's system and the main triggers of geological hazards and its risk. It will also need to be able to perform an acknowledgment of the main types of rocks and to use the available geothematic data to make a simple framing of the physical characteristics of the landscape, preferably through compilation (optional) of a concise report
