In the last 25 years he worked at CASPUR and CINECA as chief of the applications’ team with a role of Senior Technology Manager on HPC and Big Data technologies. He has organized several conferences and workshops and has been invited speaker in many international meetings on HPC and its applications in computational (bio)chemistry. He is author of more than 110 papers published on international journals to cover the area of technological advances in computational (bio)chemical-physics and HPC. He is member of the Italian Chemical Society (SCI), member of the American Chemical Society (ACS) and since 2009 is Specialist Editor of the Computer Physics Communication journal published by Elsevier. At CINECA he was coordinator of several exascale EU projects like Antarex (FETHPC), Mont-Blanc1&2 also as leader of the application workpackages and participating to projects on HPC and BD within the PRACE and ETP4HPC EU initiatives where the most innovative development tools and running environments are in development to leverage the future architectures of next-generation computing infrastructure.
