Il suolo come patrimonio culturale
(objectives)
The course aims at presenting the soil resource as central in human life which favored achievement of mankind history. The course focuses on the conservation concept either as active or passive: soil that conserves archaeological remains and soil that should be conserved as a vulnerable fragile resource. For the first aspect soil is presented through the description of its physical, chemical and biological properties. Basic concepts of soil science are given. For the second aspect the course explores the possibility to use visual arts (particularly painting and installations) as innovative tools to vehicle and spread soil knowledge, valorization and ultimately a soil culture. The soil survey in archaeological research finds its application analysis of pedogenetic processes that act intensely on the Earth's surface by gradually erasing or changing the direct and indirect effects of human settlements or vice versa in the analysis of buried pedons for understanding the factors that characterized pedogenesis in the ancient environment. The aim of the course is to provide the basic knowledge of pedology to be able to give the interpretative keys of which natural and anthropic processes may have characterized the ancient environment whose imprint is present in soils "sealed" by natural sedimentation or eruptions volcanic in the study.

DE SANCTIS Dino
( syllabus)
The course aims to analyze the diachronic path through which the Greek and Latin texts have come down to our days. A) In the first part of the course the writing supports used in antiquity for the transmission of texts will be studied: tablets, ostraka and papyrus, as well as the parchment code that imposes itself on the papyrus in a slow but inexorable passage between the 1st and 6th centuries AD. Therefore, the phases during which this new book form has the upper hand will be analyzed: medieval scriptoria and the Byzantine culture, to move on to Humanism and the publication of the first editiones principes. B) The subject of the second part of the course will be the "Lucretius case". The fortune of De rerum natura will be analyzed from the XV century until today after the revival of the poem due to the discovery of a code in 1417 by the humanist Poggio Bracciolini. Particular attention will be given to Giacomo Leopardi’s reflection about De rerum natura and to the use of the poem in Les Dieux ont soif , an historical novel by Anatole France, as well as to the influence of the story about the pest in Athens that Lucretius, on the thucydidean model, recalls in the VI book (1138-1296).

Teorie e tecniche del linguaggio filmico
(objectives)

The communication of the organizations, and in particular the advertising, have undergone radical innovations in the last few years both from the point of view of the tools and with respect to the contents. Starting from the definition of the now classic five levers of business communication, it will deepen how they have changed in the last few years dominated by the web and its communication, participation and sharing logics. In particular, two dimensions of advertising and corporate communication that are as innovative as they are little explored will be explored: storytelling and branded content. In reference to these last two thematic focuses will be present case studies. Students will be asked to present work of analysis and production of specific communication material.
