TECNOLOGIE PER LA FORMAZIONE
(objectives)
The course, aimed at acquiring the theoretical and methodological foundations of Special Didactics and Pedagogy, intends to promote in students the reflection and knowledge of diversity with reference to the condition of persons with disabilities and with "special educational needs", according to the inclusive perspective. In this perspective, the concepts of diversity, deficit, "handicap", integration, inclusion, individualisation, personalisation, differentiation, support, help in educational interventions towards children/young people/adults/elderly people whose different needs are to be read, welcomed and interpreted, are particularly important. Special Didactics and Pedagogy represent, therefore, the fundamental reference in the research and theoretical-practical study of the educational processes of those who in their developmental and adult years are characterised by a situation of disability, vulnerability and/or difficulty. Starting from some indispensable historical references that mark the special pedagogical-educational evolution, the course will offer insights into the educational value, intrinsic and extrinsic, of school and extracurricular activities within the Life Project, as a holistic and dynamic reference of the inclusive process. In relation to the discipline the student must show possession - the mastery of the knowledge of the discipline - the ability to use knowledge and concepts to reason autonomously about the issues of the discipline. Expected learning outcomes, broken down according to the Dublin descriptors. - Knowledge and understanding of the proposed contents (knowledge and understanding): the historical developments of Didactics and Special Pedagogy; the principles of learning, planning and inclusive didactic strategies, management of the class group, motivation, evaluation. - Applying knowledge and understanding: to be able to identify possibilities of cooperation between school and non-school for the realisation of active and personalised training courses for people with special needs; to be able to propose and evaluate organisational and didactic solutions for school differentiation: individualisation and personalisation through cooperative learning, open classes, workshops, activities in natural environments and in local cultural institutions (libraries, museums, media libraries, toy libraries, cultural and voluntary associations, etc.); to be able to activate procedures and request/signal requests for the implementation of educational and training programmes for people with special needs. Knowing how to activate procedures and request/request interventions of various kinds (diagnostic, rehabilitative, educational, etc.) for the benefit of people with disabilities and "special educational needs", making use of current legislation and available institutional resources. - Autonomy of judgement (making judgements): students will be able to 1. evaluate learning experiences, select the most appropriate teaching strategies; 2. evaluate events and identify key issues relevant to educational success. - Communication skills: to know the didactic tools that can enhance the communicative, intellectual and learning abilities of people with special needs; to know the sites, locations and publications of the main associations and institutions offering information, counselling, help and services to people with disabilities. - Learning skills: students will learn to search for new educational resources from an inclusive perspective and to collaborate in the planning and management of educational activities for all and each learner.
