Course aims:
The course aims to introduce students to the aspects of the use of language in relation to society, therefore to consider language as a social phenomenon and a means of expression of identity. Therefore, linguistic variation phenomena will be analyzed in relation to extra-linguistic phenomena. Finally, students will be provided with the basic knowledge of data collection and research methods in sociolinguistics.
