1) Knowledge and understanding - The course aims to provide students with the theoretical foundations relating to the processes of radicalisation and terrorism in the political and religious spheres, as well as to place intelligence activities in a perspective of the historical evolution of the instruments and media.
2) Applying knowledge and understanding - students will acquire skills related to the tools for analysing emerging political and religious radicalism, with particular reference to social network analysis techniques.
3) Making judgements - The course will provide students with the tools to recognise ongoing radicalisation processes, assess their extent and social dangerousness.
4) Communication skills - During the lessons, students will be invited to present their project work to the rest of the class, so that they can share and compare the tools they have learned with other colleagues.
5) Learning skills - the course is based on a dual mode of lecturing and learning by doing, which encourages students to participate in a final online analysis of a contemporary radicalisation phenomenon.
