(objectives)
1) Knowledge and understanding The course aims to provide the basic knowledge for a first orientation of the tourism business to sustainability, trusting in an adequate level of understanding on the part of the students. It is believed that at the end of the course the students will have acquired the knowledge necessary to identify the most suitable tools to manage the business with a view to sustainability.
2) Applying knowledge and understanding; As part of the course, business cases, proposed testimonials and developed exercises will be illustrated in order to allow a direct comparison with the methods presented. At the end of the course, students should have acquired the necessary familiarity with the proposed tools to an extent that they understand their functionality and usefulness within the company.
3) Autonomy of judgment (making judgments); The topics proposed in the course are such as to allow students to formulate their own assessments, in particular of a qualitative nature, on the extent of environmental management tools. It is believed that at the end of the course the students will have acquired the right sensitivity to evaluate the goodness of the results that can be achieved in the different approaches to the environment
4) Communication skills; The course favors team work so as to allow a stimulating comparison that notoriously leads to better results than the sum of individual work. All students are expected to acquire an approach to teamwork by becoming aware of the high added value that comes with it. 5) Ability to learn (learning skills). The method of conducting the course is based on a strong interaction with students and among students suitable for stimulating the learning ability and concentration during the lessons. The expected result is an increase in learning levels together with the ability to self-diagnose the level reached.
