Survey and representation of the territory Reference surfaces, angle, distance, altitude, gradient, slope. Survey operation Measurement of angles and distances. Planimetric survey methods: intersections, open and closed polygons. Detail survey. Altimetric survey methods: levelling. Graphic return of the relief: dimensioned plane, plane with level curves. GNSS system General information, operating principles, how to perform the survey through GNSS. Systems for Earth Observation Remote sensing principles, main Earth Observation missions, analysis of remote sensing images GIS and Territorial Information Systems References to the main cartographic projection systems. Practical applications of analysis and representation of the territory. Elements of Forest Construction References of static, static moments and inertia of sections, radius of inertia, resistance module. Hooke’s law, behavior of real bodies under load, design problems and structure verification. Study of beams, stress diagrams, calculation of verification and design of isostatic beams.
