(syllabus)
The course aims to develop contemporary translation skills by referring to specific and various translation approaches. The aim of the course is salso to develop methodological knowledge for the analysis of a literary text and its intersemiotic translations from a Translation Studies perspective. Text samples will be examined and analyzed also through workshop activities. Part of the course will be dedicated to the practice of adaptation, with particular attention to inter-semiotic transposition from literary text to television and film versions. Proposal and presentation of papers by students during the course will be encouraged. Seminars and exercises on the translation of the texts and on translation analysis are planned.
