(objectives)
The course is aimed at providing specialized skills on legislation on banks and financial intermediaries, starting from the basic notions of the subject and its legislative evolution, with particular reference to the current discipline and the TUB, in consideration of recent reforms. The course will also analyse, in particular, supervision and credit authorities, the solution of banking crises and transparency, as envisaged and regulated by the TUB.
Knowledge and understanding – The course aims to develop in the student an adequate ability to understand and interpret the principles underlying the banking discipline. This result is pursued through the in-depth study of the current regulatory framework (TUB) and the evolution and refinement of the sector legislation. Ability to apply knowledge and understanding – At the end of the course the student will be able to know the control systems in the banking market and to use the tools regulated in the TUB. Autonomy of judgment – The student must be able, through the study of the current discipline applied to concrete cases, to express motivated judgments on the balance of the banks, on their control systems and on the management of any crises, having also understood the difference in the remedial tools. Communication skills – The course aims at the acquisition and use of technical terminology related to the technique and legal discipline in the field of banks. Learning skills – The student will develop the ability to apply methods of judgment about the solidity of banks and control systems and any remedial tools adopted through individual study and the exercise activities planned during the Course.

(syllabus)
The training activity will examine the evolution, including historical, of banking legislation to get to deal with the current discipline, with particular attention to the effects of public and corporate law on banking discipline and the conditioning of the public interest on the rules concerning the supervision and settlement of the crisis.
The lessons include the treatment of the discipline, the examination of jurisprudence and some current cases.
You can identify 3 modules of almost similar activity and number of dedicated lessons. Especially:
MODULE I The following topics will be covered: the introduction to the course and rudiments of the banking market: particular regard to the needs of protection. The evolution of banking legislation and Community integration: systemic crises. The banking market and the financial market: the assets and subjects. Access to the banking market and public supervision of banks' activities and the evolution of control tools. Credit authorities and supervisory functions: the Bank of Italy.
MODULE II The discipline of banking crises: the AS and the compulsory administrative liquidation. Other instruments for resolving the crisis
MODULE III Relations between banks and customers: in particular transparency. Cooperative credit in the forms of bccs and popular banks Investment banks and the digital bank
