(syllabus)
The course illustrates and analyses the typical environments, figures and practices of digital cultures. With the help of workshop activities aimed at understanding and mastering online tools and spaces, it will provide an overview of the transformations that the new media communication regimes are carrying out in the field of experience and imagination, production and consumption, on the figures of the public and users, in the social relations mediated by digital platforms and in the processes of personal and collective identity building. The course aims to provide theoretical and practical tools useful to understand first of all social media and social networks, considered, today more than ever, the space within which cultural, economic and social phenomena, characteristic of the present, are structured.
