Summary on continuous and derivable functions, integration and linear algebra. • Applications History of EDO • Ordinary differential equations • The Cauchy problem, existence and uniqueness of the solutions • Separate variable equations, first order linear equations • Riccati equations • Bernoulli equations • Linear differential equations of order n homogeneous with constant coefficients • Linear differential equations of order n not homogeneous with constant coefficients • Systems of differential equations, equilibrium points, stability of solutions. • Finite difference equations. • Applications to the economy: Growth models (Harrold, Domar) • Functions in several variables and economic applications: production and cost functions. Analysis of the Cobb-Douglas function. • Optimization problems and programming problems.
