The course illustrates and analyzes the places, figures and practices typical of digital cultures. With the help of laboratory activities aimed at understanding and mastering online tools and environments, a review will be provided of the transformations that the communicative regimes of the new media are carrying out in the field of experience and imagination, production and consumption. , on the figures of the public and users, in that of social relations mediated by digital platforms and in the processes of building personal and collective identity. The course aims to provide theoretical and practical tools useful for understanding social media and social networks in the first place, considered, today more than ever, the space within which the cultural, economic and social phenomena characteristic of the present are structured.
