Sampling methodology of microorganisms and their determination by both cultural and molecular methods (brief notes). Environmental parameters: water availability, light, temperatures, substrate, atmosphere, climate: their influence on biodeterioration processes. Biodegradative processes on different substrates: wood, paper, lythic substrate, glass, metal, photographic material, compound materials (paintings).
