Knowledge and understanding: The Crime and Economics course provides the student, with the main theoretical and empirical tools, to be able to explain and study social and economic contexts characterized by the presence of criminal activities and to investigate the main unlawful events that affecting the economy. Applied knowledge and understanding: The student will be able to evaluate the economic policies effect to tackle crime and unlawful behavior (corruption, evasion, etc.) but also to identify the most frequent unlawful conduct. Autonomy of judgment: The student will be able to analyze the main aspects of the criminal economy activities and to manage independently and critically different social and market scenarios, characterized by the presence of criminal activities. Communication skills: The student will be able to analyze, with scientific strictness and technical formalism, the rigorous representation of problems and solutions in the interactions of crime and economy. Learning skills: The student will be able to evaluate, in advance, the effect produced by policies to tackle crime and unlawful behavior (for example corruption, evasion, etc.) also from an economic point of view.
