(syllabus)
The course deals with the history of Italian journalism in the unitary state, from the first gazettes to the most recent transformations of the information system, in the perspective of relations between political, economic and financial power and the journalistic world. Information, confessional and party periodicals, governmental control structures, trade unions, war propaganda and fascist experience, the establishment of the register, the republican press and publishing laws will be examined. until the advent of television and online journalism, technical innovations, the transformations of journalism and the profession in recent years.
