The Etruscans and other peoples of the Italian peninsula: the Middle-Adriatic area:

At the end of the course the student will have acquired knowledge about the history and evolution of the main populations of the Middle-Adriatic region(Abruzzo and Marche area) and about their commercial and cultural relations with Etruria.
Topics covered: Formation og ethnoc identity; the population system and the typology of the inhabited areas; the rise of the aristocracy and the circulation of prestigious goods; ports and commercial traffic; relations with the Greek and Eastern world; cultural and commercial relations with Etruria.
