The course on WILDLIFE aims to provide students with theoretical / practical knowledge that allows them to give a concrete and profitable professional contribution in the planning phase of faunal management of the agro-forestry territory. To this end, the objectives of the course focus on knowledge of the biology, ecology and ethology of the main wild species of conservation and hunting interest in the Italian territory, with particular regard to those of central Italy. The fauna-man-environment interactions, often conflicting (damage to crops, forest renewal, predation, interference with roads, etc.), require the treatment of monitoring techniques (qualitative and quantitative). In parallel with the techniques for estimating the abundance and density of specific species and their comparison with the agroforestry densities, the most innovative strategies and techniques aimed at increasing and numerical containment in every protected and unprotected territorial area are discussed.
