The main purpose of the course is to provide students with basic knowledge of history of art exhibition's between XVII century and 1930 with a discussion on contemporary examples. This art exhibition's history will be related to historical context of museums for a basic knowledge of italian cultural heritage history.
Expected learning outcomes. At the end of the course students will be able to:
1) present a summary of the main development of the exhibitions and museums histories;
2) recognize and discuss the different typologies of exhibition and their displaying during the centuries;
3) evaluate the different meanings of international terminology about Museology in comparison with italian historical conceptions;
4) interpret and understand similar exhibitions and museums examined.
