The course aims to provide theoretical skills on the historical evolution in a diachronic perspective of the language in the various Lusophone countries, particularly in Brazil. Starting from grammatical reflections related to the Portuguese language, through a diachronic framework of the historical events that determined the diffusion of the communicative use of Portuguese at a religious political and commercial level, the morpho-syntactic, phonetic and lexical differences between European Portuguese, that of the CPLP countries and the Brazilian variant
