The student will be introduced to the concepts of degradation, preservation and restoration of the various materials. It will focus on the main technologies and techniques of use of each class of material, the performance aspects of devices and systems, environmental issues and opportunities, including from a "life cycle assessment" perspective.
Through the study of case studies, the theoretical and practical aspects of the materials, technologies, devices and systems used in the landscape project, redevelopment, enhancement and environmental restoration will be addressed.
