The aim of the course is to provide the necessary knowledge for the ecology diagnosis of forest stands and forest management choices. In particular, students will gain the skill to DESIGN AND MANAGE forestry projects. At the end of the course, the student must be able to understand the aims of sustainable forest management. Thus it will have acquired the ability to apply and link criteria and methods of forest ecology, dendrometry, and silviculture in the various national territorial and environmental contexts. Finally, he must have acquired the theoretical and practical knowledge to elaborate and draft forest management projects from those of environmental restoration to those of multifunctional silviculture. During the course, students will be encouraged to develop independent judgment, communication skills and the ability to learn.
